Harris Glass Company is enjoying its fourth generation in the Glass Business.
Founded in New Jersey under the leadership of I.H. Harris, in 1925 the company moved out to Los Angeles and flourished. In 1953, ownership was transferred to his son-in-law – Julius Mischel – and was incorporated to J. Mischel, Inc. dba Harris Glass Company in 1959. In 1979, leadership was passed to Julius’ son and Vice-President, Mark A. Mischel.
For the next 31 years, Mark Mischel continued his predecessors’ tradition of excellence until 2010, when Gary Buffehr – his long-time Operations Manager – and David Gordon – his Estimator – took ownership and responsibility for leading the company into the future.
Bringing over nine decades of experience and professionalism to the table, the mission of Harris Glass Company has always been to build its reputation for excellence, integrity, and experience as one of the southland’s oldest Glass and Glazing contractors.
